Editorial policy

Our NDIS guides and articles help participants, families and professionals make informed decisions. This is how we make sure they're accurate, clear and up to date.

Last updated 2 October 2026

Who writes our content

Our guides and blog posts are written by the Wyndham Elite Support Services team, drawing on our day-to-day work supporting NDIS participants since 2018. Each article shows its author and when it was published or last updated.

How we research and fact-check

We check every article against official sources: the National Disability Insurance Agency (ndis.gov.au), the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, NDIS legislation and government health and disability services. Each article lists its sources at the end, with the date each source was last updated.

Where we give figures, such as timeframes, funding rules or statistics, we take them from those sources and say where they come from. Statistics about our own services come from our records and participant surveys, and we say so.

Keeping content up to date

NDIS rules are changing in stages until 2028. We review our articles when official guidance changes and update the date shown on the article whenever we make a meaningful change. If a rule has a start date in the future, we say so.

How we write

We write in plain English, explain NDIS terms when we first use them, and use headings, checklists and diagrams so pages are easy to scan and work with screen readers. We avoid promising funding: the NDIA decides what's included in a plan, so we say supports may be funded where they're included and appropriate.

Our services in our content

We're an NDIS provider, and our articles sometimes mention our own services where they're relevant. We don't accept payment to mention other organisations, and we don't use affiliate links. Photos labelled as representative aren't of the actual people or homes described.

General information, not advice

Our content is general information. It isn't legal, financial, medical or NDIS planning advice about your situation. Check ndis.gov.au or talk to your my NDIS contact, support coordinator or our team before making decisions.
