Private Duty Nursing

One-on-one nursing care in your home

Specialised one-on-one nursing from registered nurses for NDIS participants with complex medical needs, focused on your wellbeing and independence.

Overview

What is private duty nursing?

Private duty nursing delivers specialised, one-on-one nursing care in your home, provided by registered nurses (RNs) who focus on your wellbeing, independence and daily living goals.

We specialise in complex nursing for higher needs: managing chronic conditions, high-acuity tasks and care that's integrated with your daily living supports, delivered with calm, skill and warmth.

For families and guardians, it means reliable updates, collaborative planning and care that fits your loved one's routines and wishes. We are registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission for Community Nursing Care.

FAQs

Common questions

Can't find your answer? Call us on 1800 328 885.

What's the difference between private duty nursing and support workers?

Support workers help with daily living. Nurses are registered or enrolled health professionals who can provide clinical care, such as medication administration, wound care and tracheostomy care.

Can the NDIS pay for nursing?

Yes, when it's a disability-related health support and it's included in your plan. Nursing to treat an acute illness or injury is usually funded by the health system instead.

What evidence does my plan need?

Medical evidence, such as GP or specialist reports, that links your nursing needs to your disability. Your support coordinator can help include it in your plan.

Which areas do you cover?

We deliver support in all Australian states and territories through our own teams and local partners, in metropolitan, regional and rural areas.
