The short answer
SIL pays for support in your home. SDA pays for the home itself. ILO pays for flexible support arrangements in a home you choose, often with informal supports built in.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
SIL funds help with daily tasks in your home, usually a shared home, with support up to 24 hours a day. You pay rent and living costs yourself.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
SDA funds housing designed for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. SDA homes are built to design categories such as Improved Liveability, Fully Accessible, Robust and High Physical Support. Many people in SDA also receive SIL.
Individualised Living Options (ILO)
ILO funds a package of support designed around how and where you want to live: alone, with a partner, with a host or with family. It often blends paid and informal support and suits people who don't need 24/7 rostered support.
