About motor neurone disease
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive neurological condition affecting the nerves that control movement, speech, swallowing and breathing. It progresses at different rates for different people.
Support needs can change quickly, so plans, equipment and team skills need to keep pace, often including high intensity supports such as ventilation and enteral feeding. NDIS participants must usually have applied before age 65.
